Inhibition: Initially, can I Polka? There after, will I fulfill my commitment to learn Spanish?
Betty’s Response: Probably not but I’ll cart you there once a week, hop-a-long.
Experience: Well initially I had planned on attending the International Polka Association’s 45th Chicago Festival of Polka that happened this past weekend Polina’s Kitchen. But as luck would have it, I was called into work at the last minute (still I will POLKA!). Then the capper, the next day at work I sprained my ankle. Hmm, ok so my new experience? I registered to take Spanish lessons! Woo! and more to come on this endeavor as the weeks ahead progress.
What I didn’t know: That the opportunity to learn Spanish is less than one mile from my apartment and registration can happen even with a twisted ankle… and a generous ride from Betty.
