Betty and I celebrated the glorious miracle of spring AND a warm day with a long ride that began at Oz Park.
Although we were having a great time searching out these delightful sculptures, it was the nature around me that stole the show. I began to think about color, mass, shape, line, repetition, harmony, and composition that naturally occurs in nature. To emphasize this point we made a mad dash over to a magical little sanctuary…
Betty’s Response: Get a load of this!!!
And then I was lost in a world of wonder…
Whoa!! I had NO idea the conservatory had such an amazing succulent garden. LOVED IT!! Woo! OK world, Betty and I are out but giving you first a giant shout out to hit the road and SHOW ME WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW!!!
–The residual purpose of art is purposeless play. This play however, is an affirmation of life–Not an attempt to bring order out of chaos nor to suggest improvements in creation, but simply a way of waking up to the very life we’re living, which is so excellent once one gets one’s mind and one’s desires out of its way and lets it act of its own accord. -John Cage
