Inhibition: A couple of weeks ago, when my day off plans were disrupted and I was bent-out-of-shape about it, Betty called me an “old lady.” Her name-calling point, that I needed to be more spontaneous, led to a day that was unexpected and a lot of fun. So I’ve decided to ease my way into more of those days beginning with this week. I know I want to visit a site where graffiti artist, Banski stenciled a piece of work however, the rest of the day I’m going to just take it as it comes.

      Betty’s Response: You’re still old.

Experience: I’m headed to the West Loop …

A ride over to check out this Banski graffiti work.

What I didn’t know: Alright, so although I was aware these places and events existed, I had no idea how much fun it would be to just spontaneously say, “NOW, I’m going to do this!” So much so that for the next few weeks Betty and I will stay on this “path” for the several of the upcoming projects. I have to also say that it is very liberating to face inhibitions like the urge to turn around when I was walking into Frontier and Uncharted Books alone when and I could see and hear groups of friends laughing and enjoying each others company. And with that said I have to acknowledge I had a great time by myself.

So! Betty and I are out for now but extending to you a very hearty invite to get out there and SHOW ME WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW!!!!
